To address the increasingly severe incidence of rice sheath blight in Jilin Province in recent years, this study conducted a fixed-point investigation of the disease's epidemiology and researched its management strategies in Gongzhuling. The results indicate that the initial occurrence period of rice sheath blight occurs in early to midJuly, with the disease peaking in early August. The disease reaches a stable state in mid to late August. However, it is noted that these timings can vary from year to year. Six agents showing significant inhibitory effects were selected through in vitro antimicrobial assays. The field efficacy trials demonstrated that pyraclostrobin and benzovindiflupyr effectively controlled rice sheath blight, achieving control efficacies of 81.93% and 75.13%, respectively. This study on the occurrence pattern and control techniques of rice sheath blight provides a scientific basis for its effective management in Jilin Province.
