AN ALGORITHM FOR PROGRAMING PROBIT ANALYSIS

摘要:

本文提供了杀虫剂毒力测定的机率值分析中统计数表的数值计算方法,并编制了相应的计算机程序,为在小容量微机上实现大批量的生测统计提供便利条件。

Abstract:

The compitutions in probit analysis are very laborious and the repeated table lookups are repuired. Traditional tabular methods for the probit analysis by computer take too much memories and reduce the accuracy. This paper provides a new algorithm for programming probit analysis. Instead of table lookup, the probability integrals and their inverses, and the percentage point of chi—square distrbution can be efficiently calculated on a computer by use of rational approximations. The procedures were used to write a BASIC program and its applications to insecticide testing were described.
