Abstract:A super-efficiency SBM model, Dagum Gini coefficient decomposition and Markov chain analysis were employed to measure the high-quality development level, regional differences and spatio-temporal evolution of Chinese agricultural enterprises from 2017 to 2021. The results indicated that the overall development level of agricultural enterprises in China showed an increasing trend, but with marked industry differentiation. The ranking of regions from high to low was the Northeast, Central, Eastern and Western regions, which did not exhibit a clear correlation with the degree of economic development and reflected significant heterogeneity among enterprises. The within-region difference was identified as the main source of the overall disparity in development levels. The high-quality development level of Chinese agricultural enterprises will remain at a medium-to-high level over the long term.
