Abstract:Accelerating the development of new quality productive forces in agriculture is of great significance for ensuring food security and contributing to the building of China into a strong modern socialist country. Clarifying the driving mechanism of new quality productive forces in agriculture is essential for identifying the direction of future development. Accordingly, this study develops a“Four-Push, Five-Pull”theoretical model based on push-pull theory. The four push factors are the historical evolution of productive forces, the demands of highquality development in the current era, the inherent weakness of traditional agriculture and the practical reality of development gaps. The five pull factors are the leadership of scientific and technological innovation, innovative allocation of production factors, coordinated industrial development, support from the talent system and a new system for mobilizing nationwide resources. Finally, six practical pathways are proposed: strengthening the leadership of scientific and technological innovation, ensuring the efficient circulation of production factors, promoting industrial upgrading and transformation, improving the talent development system, deepening institutional and mechanism reforms, and exploring a path of development based on local characteristics.
